The Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple at Marudamalai sits on a hill at the foot of the Western Ghats, on the western edge of Coimbatore. The name comes from the marudham trees that once grew here — malai meaning hill.
Significance
Marudamalai is one of the most important Murugan temples in the Kongu region, and many devotees fondly call it the “seventh abode” of Murugan after the traditional six. The hill is associated with Pambatti Siddhar, a Tamil Siddhar whose cave is visited by pilgrims.
Visiting
