Palani is the most requested temple trip from Coimbatore, and a day trip is the easiest way to do it. You leave early, reach Palani in time for morning darshan and are back home by evening — without having to worry about buses, parking or finding your way around the temple town.
The tour is built around darshan at the Palani Murugan Temple, the third of Lord Murugan’s six abodes. Our driver will drop you at the base of the hill, where you can choose to climb the steps or take the winch or rope car. Most families also visit the Thiru Avinankudi temple at the foot of the hill — traditionally counted as the padai veedu — before or after going up.
