Tour Overview
This three-day pilgrimage brings together three of the most important temples in Tamil Nadu — each with a very different character — in one comfortable loop from Coimbatore.
You begin with Lord Murugan at the Palani hill temple, then continue to the temple city of Madurai for evening darshan at the Meenakshi Amman Temple. On the second day you visit Thiruparankundram before driving to the island of Rameswaram, and the tour concludes with the holy bath and darshan at the Ramanathaswamy Jyotirlinga.
It is one of our most requested itineraries for families from the Kongu region, and it works just as well starting from Kodaikanal or Ooty.

Coimbatore to Palani and Madurai
Coimbatore → Palani → Madurai
Early pickup from Coimbatore and drive to Palani for darshan at the hill temple and Thiru Avinankudi. After lunch, continue to Madurai. Evening darshan at the Meenakshi Amman Temple. Overnight in Madurai.

Madurai to Rameswaram
Madurai → Thiruparankundram → Rameswaram
Morning visit to Thiruparankundram, the first of Murugan's six abodes. Drive to Rameswaram, crossing the Pamban bridge onto the island. Evening darshan at the Ramanathaswamy Temple. Overnight in Rameswaram.

Rameswaram to Coimbatore
Rameswaram → Madurai → Coimbatore
Early-morning holy bath at Agni Theertham and the temple theerthams, followed by darshan. Visit other sites on the island as time permits, then begin the long drive back to Coimbatore, arriving late evening.
