Suggested Itinerary

1. Day1

   Madurai — Thiruparankundram and Pazhamudircholai

   Madurai → Thiruparankundram → Pazhamudircholai → Tiruchendur

   Morning darshan at Thiruparankundram (first abode) and Pazhamudircholai (sixth abode) in the Alagar hills. Drive south to Tiruchendur in the afternoon. Overnight in Tiruchendur.

2. Day2

   Tiruchendur to Palani

   Tiruchendur → Madurai → Palani

   Early-morning sea bath and darshan at Tiruchendur (second abode). Long drive north-west to Palani. Overnight in Palani.

3. Day3

   Palani to Swamimalai

   Palani → Tiruchirappalli → Swamimalai

   Early darshan at the Palani hill temple (third abode) and Thiru Avinankudi. Drive to Swamimalai via Tiruchirappalli. Evening darshan at Swamimalai (fourth abode). Overnight in Kumbakonam.

4. Day4

   Swamimalai to Thiruthani

   Kumbakonam → Thiruthani

   Drive north to Thiruthani. Evening darshan at the hill temple (fifth abode). Overnight in Thiruthani or nearby.

5. Day5

   Return journey

   Thiruthani → Madurai / Coimbatore / Chennai

   Morning darshan at Thiruthani if you wish, then begin the return journey. The tour can also end at Chennai or Tirupati for onward travel.

Timings and order can be adjusted to suit your family and temple darshan times.

Important Information

• Days 2 and 4 involve long drives. We plan meal and rest breaks, but travellers should expect several hours on the road.
• The tour can be started from Coimbatore by visiting Palani first and rearranging the route.
• Ending in Chennai (for flights and trains) shortens the final day considerably.
• Driver allowance is included in the displayed base price. Tolls, parking, interstate permits and kilometres beyond the stated allowance are additional.
